-Acoustic Warriors- nominated for 2003 NAMMY

OMIYA, SAITAMA, JAPAN -- November, 2003-- Acoustic Warriors have been nominated for a 2003 NAMMY as "Best Independent Recording" for Coup Stick Warrior [produced and mastered by Gary Tanin]. Winners will be announced November 15 in Albuquerque, NM. In addition to Acoustic Warriors, three other Native Voices artists are also nominated for NAMMY's.

In related news, Acoustic Warriors will embark on a tour of military bases tour for "Native American Awareness Month" next week. Scheduled stops include: Sasebo, Japan; Atsugi, Japan; Yokosuko, Japan and Diego Garcia. The overseas tour is dedicated to band member Andy Connors who is recovering from a stroke.

-Bushy Luxury- Hard Disc Int'l Summer 2000 Release

OMIYA, SAITAMA, JAPAN -- June 12, 2000 -- Former VIRGIN PRUNE, Dave-iD Busaras and T (a.k.a. Toshi Hiraoka) recently completed work on the new album "Bushy Luxury (The Whole Story)".

Recorded at the Works Studio (Dublin) and Bubble Studio (Japan), the cover photo was taken by Peter Rowen (renown for U2's "Boy"). The project was mixed at Works Studio and also in the United States by GARY TANIN (Milwaukee), who works with BoDeans, Jerry Harrison (Talking Heads), T Lavitz (Dixie Dregs), Daryl Stuermer (Genesis/Phil Collins), Victor DeLorenzo (Violent Femmes), etc.

Of the 18 tracks on the album, 2 are bonus tracks, including one track by former Virgin Prunes singer, GUGGI, called "Coastal Muck". This is the first recording from Guggi in a long time.

Painting The Sonic Picture: A Discussion On The Artist, Engineer Producer Relationship

On April 27,2000 at the Miramar Theater in Milwaukee, the Chicago Chapter hosted the second event of its Midwest Professional Education Series. The evening was highlighted by a panel featuring David Brian of Stokes Astor, Lee Hawkins, Mike Hoffmann, Mark McCraw, George Nash Jr., William Stace, Gary Tanin and Mike Zirkel, with Bryan Erwin of Conversion Media and former DJ for WLUM as moderator. The panelists provided valuable insight into the relationship between the producer and artist for those musicians and producers trying to better understand their profession.
